WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO OPEN A HOME TRAVEL AGENCY?
It's Simple! Once Academy Travel Consultants (ATC) receives your signed agreement the process begins… and you are in the travel business. We transfer the rights for you to operate under our ARC license number, and begin training.
AM I ABLE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE MANY TRAVEL BENEFITS?

HOW MUCH CAPITAL DO I NEED TO BEGIN?
That's the beauty of the ATC. You can start your business, secure unlimited earning potential and travel benefits by enrolling in our travel school for $995.
HOW DO WE MAKE AIRLINE, HOTEL AND CAR RENTAL RESERVATIONS?
ATC will provide you with computer software disk that is linked directly to the world's largest reservations data bank. With ATC link you are instantly able to make airline, hotel and car rental reservations at the lowest rates available. Once the reservation is made it is computer transmitted to our Ticket Center for immediate processing.
HOW DO WE GET OUR TICKETS?
Since most people want the lowest possible fare, which requires advance booking, the majority of ticket s will be electronic ticketed.
HOW DO WE GET OUR COMMISSION FROM AIRLINE TICKETS?
Your clients will pay for airline tickets by credit card, check or cash. If paid by credit card, the computer automatically generates an approval code. ATC will process the ticket and your commissions will be paid the 15th of each month for the preceding month.
HOW DO WE GET PAID FOR THE HOTELS AND CAR RENTALS THAT WE BOOK?
All hotel and car rental reservations are booked under ATC's ARC number, either through our computer, or directly with the supplier company. You will provide ATC a complete list of all reservations and have entered them into the Apollo computer system. Once the commissions have been received from the vendor, we will pay you at the end of 15th of each month.
HOW DO WE GO ABOUT BOOKING CRUISES?
ATC has arranged for you to receive 50% of the commissions for all bookings, once entered into the computer. Once you have joined ATC, Academy Travel Consultants will teach you exactly how to make tour and cruise and airline bookings. Join (CLIA) for only $50 a year*

WILL I NEED ANY COMPUTER EQUIPMENT?
System Requirements
Focalpoint 3.5 SE will run on a Microsoft Windows 95, 98 or Windows NT 4.0 (with minimum SP5) workstation already configured with TCP/IP network services.
Client Identification
You will need a client ID and the primary and secondary configuration server IP addresses. Your Galileo International representative provides you with both.
Minimum Hardware Requirements
Personal computer with a 486/66DX2 processor or higher, 16MB RAM (32MB RAM is recommended) CD-ROM drive, 30MB of free disk space, TCP/IP network services
DO I NEED TO HIRE PEOPLE?
Since you work under our ARC number, and we provide you with extensive training, additional staff will not be necessary thus, reducing your overhead.
CAN I LOCATE ATC IN MY EXISTING BUSINESS?
Sure you can. As a matter of fact, a travel agency fits quite well in an insurance agency, boutique, real estate firm, grocery store, dry cleaners, doctor's office, or any retail or wholesale establishment. An ATC travel agency is a perfect and creative idea for you to use your current client base to expand your income.
IN ADDITION TOYOUR FEE, WHAT OTHER EXPENSES MAY WE EXPECT?
Once you become an ATC member, we will provide a list of items that must be purchased. Some of the items you will need include, a personal computer, CLIA membership, travel publications, office supplies, an extra phone line, and other odds and ends that are necessary to run a professional office. Now we ask you, what other industry can you join at such a low cost?
I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE TRAVEL INDUSTRY, WILL THIS MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
Over 95% of our clients have no previous industry experience. This is why it is essential to have ATC guide you through the process. Our program leaves nothing to the imagination.
HOW MUCH TIME DO I NEED TO DEVOTE TO THE BUSINESS?
It's up to you. Full time or part time, you decide. YOU ARE YOUR OWN BOSS! Doesn't that sound nice?
WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS LICENSES DO I NEED?
Most local city and county governments have very few requirements for home companies, which can be easily met. Once you become an ATC member, we will direct you through the proper channels.
HOW MUCH TIME DOES THIS PROCESS TAKE?
The ATC program is designed to give you a "quick start", with no lag time. Our extensive services begin as soon as we receive your signed agreement and we work within your individual time frame.

Clients are everywhere, however, you must have the proper image, make the right presentation, and give the best possible service.
